About INSTRUCTOR

Nicholas Patton

Originally from San Diego, I moved to Northern California to study at Humboldt State University, earning degrees in both Art Studio and Art Education in 2011. Throughout my time there, I was an active member in an artist collective known as EMPIRE SQUARED, participating in monthly art shows as well as exhibiting in HSU’s Reese Bullen Gallery for annual juried exhibitions.

I pursued a teaching credential from HSU in 2013 with an immense passion and commitment to the arts and education. I believe every individual has an innate creative and artistic ability and a tremendous capacity to refine and expand their thinking, communicating and problem-solving skills.

I strive to make my classroom a place where students feel empowered to explore their own thoughts and perceptions through unique artistic creations.
